ICOPER is an eContentplus Best Practice Network involving experts in digital educational development and technology enhanced learning (TEL). The project will systematically analyse the specifications and standards available and in use, addressing issues such as exchange of competency models and learning outcomes, collaboration around learning designs, integration of content via federated search and harvesting, reuse of instructional models and content in learning delivery environments and interoperability of item banks for assessment and evaluation.

  • The Engineering Education Conference (EDUCON) will be held April 14th - 16th, 2010 in Madrid, Spain. It will provide an interdisciplinary forum for academic, research and industrial collaboration on teaching methods, practical experiences and research towards the future of global Engineering Education attracting 200+ participants from all over the world. Participants will include university presidents, college deans, department chairpersons, faculty in engineering and engineering technology, and industry leaders from throughout the IEEE Region 8 (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and the world.
  • SE@M 2009, the 3rd international workshop on Search and Exchange of e-le@rning Materials, aims at bringing together researchers and professionals working with learning resources —publishers of learning resources and technologies, managers of learning infrastructures and learning resource repositories, learning professionals and practitioners. One day of the workshop will be especially aimed at publishers and professionals with the objective to understand how existing and emerging standards can best be applied and combined to improve content interoperability and how to test the compliance of contents against a range of standards.
  • The Science Week tries to spread the results of scientific researches by opening the scientific spaces normally closed to visitors. Its main aim is to stimulate the knowledge of science and technology among citizens. It offers more that 500 free activities addressed to all citizens without distinction based on age, gender, level of scientific training, or social category.
